 Preschool Highlights

My kids love summer camp!  As a parent, I love that my children are doing several hands-on activities that you might not see in a traditional summer camp environment.  They especially love meeting the animals and exploring the gardens.

  • Animal Encounters
  • Outdoor Classroom
  • Gardening Opportunites
  • Water Activities
  • Community Service Hours available for HS students
  • Jr. Counselor programs
  • Elementary and Preschool Programs available all summer

Welcome to Preschool.  We are looking forward to meeting all of our new students.  Our classroom is theme-based.  All activities are based off of the literature that we read each day.  We try to enjoy as much of our 5 acres as possible to take advantage of our indoor and outdoor classroom.  Please feel free to schedule a visit to learn more about our program.  Below is our theme for the this week.

Week of October 23:

  • Theme: Down on the Farm - Farmer's Garden & Pumpkins

  • Book: Too Many Pumpkins
  • Art & Science:  Fire Safety
  • Song:  "5 Little Pumpkins"
  • Snack Schedule - Click Here
  • Health Examination Form:  Please send this in if you have not done so.

NOTE: Registration is open for next year.  All forms are online.

Outdoor Weather: We try to go outside as much as possible.  It is still very cold outside on some days.  Please have your child wear clothes appropriate for the weather.  Boots are recommend in cold weather.  Rain boots may be kept at school.  Please remember to send layers of clothes for the colder weather.

  • Show & Share: Each student is assigned Show & Share for 1 day of the week.  This is to help the children have confidence standing up and speaking in front of their peers.  It also helps us to learn something new about each child.  When possible, please send something in that starts with the letter of week or relates to the theme we are discussing.
  • Drop-off and Pick-Up you need to bring your child to school late, please just walk them up to the Preschool classroom.  If you are arriving late for pick-up, please walk up to the main door on the Preschool side to pick up your child.
  • Outdoor Clothes:  We will go outside as much as possible. Please label all of your child's clothes and shoes.
Colder Weather: Please remember to send your child to school with a hat, gloves, snow boots and snow pants when necessary. You are welcome to leave an extra set at school if it easier for you.
Muddy/Wet Weather:  We will still go outside unless it is raining.  You are welcome to leave rain boots at school.
Warm Weather:  Please put sunscreen and bug spray on your child before school.
